See Lola Run

An Italian-American citizen who is not very much of either but lives in Rome, anyway, and is not really sure where she's going next or if she's going at all.

Soaked In Bleach

Gave new meaning to that line yesterday when I spent 2 hours scrubbing down the boy's bathroom to make it habitable for myself.

I replaced the shower curtains, bought a new (detachable) shower head to replace the lime-encrusted one that delivered too little water pressure for the amount of hair I have on my head, scrubbed the floor tiles and sink, cleaned out the cabinet, arranged toiletries in ascending order according to height, and bought two mats for the floor so that when I step out of a nice shower the first thing I feel isn't the shock of a cold tile floor.

Allen (one of my roomies) walked in there this morning and asked "Where did our bathroom go?"

These boys are really benefitting from my little estancia at the house.

I'm getting a lot out of it too. It's good living with people I know and love-- it feels less lonely... up till now i've been living with people who I know but who aren't close friends. There is something comfortable about being around the guys... it feels good.

Bower (roomie number three) made me a bowl of cookie dough ice cream with whipped cream and fudge as a thank you for cleaning out the bathroom.

... and yesterday he, Allen, Crissi, Mike and I went out for Indian Buffet lunch then Bower, Mike and I walked down the block to the Madison Theatre to see The DaVinci Code for $6.50.

Oh, yes, did I mention this?

I am in walking distance of a grocery store, a little movie theatre, a coffee shop called the Muddy Cup, and a Post Office.

Considering I don't drive, this is good news.

Mike starts work in the mornings at 8:00AM so I woke up at 7:10 with him and went to campus early. I bought coffee and a bagel, went to the library, read Hemingway for an hour, spilled my coffee all over the library rug, read Hemingway for another hour, and now i've just arrived at the office to begin my summer hours.... 10AM-3PM Monday through Thursday.

What the next two months will bring... ?

I just don't know.

But i'm curious.
