See Lola Run

An Italian-American citizen who is not very much of either but lives in Rome, anyway, and is not really sure where she's going next or if she's going at all.

Collegian Chaos

Been busy, hence the infrequent posting.

Last night I went out. I drank Tanqueray and Ginger Ale because my friend Fitz got duped into thinking that Ginger Ale takes the bite out of Gin. Uhm. No. Just because they both have the word "gin" in it doesn't mean they go together.

These days, I don't get much time (or don't have much want) to indulge in the frivolities of College Life; though, every once in a while is good for the soul. So I drank the 97 proof (#?) Gin, I played the card games, I broke out the guitar and played Metallica, I blasted RHCP and sang "Under the Bridge" loudly and out of key, I took stubborn political stances on topics I don't really care about, and I (this kind of gets to the heart of the matter)--was only one of two girls there. Later I was the only girl there. And so it always seems to be.

Fun, it was. However, my threshold was reached when someone started rolling joints and someone turned up the bass on the stereo that was blasting RHCP and someone thought it would be an ingenious idea to have a rubber-band-gun war. Things were knocked over. Crashing sounds were made. Doors were slammed. In the midst of the chaos, I sat myself down on the couch, folded my arms and waited for Fitz to calm down enough to notice I wanted out (he was in the middle of a James Bond-like dive, dodging an oncoming rubber-band). Finally he pulled me aside and said he noticed I wanted to go. I explained that at my work, every day, I deal with people who were simply at the wrong place (a place where there are drugs, in this case weed) at the wrong time (during finals week, when someone is likely to complain about the noise, and police are likely to come check it out, who are then likely to smell the weed and more than likely arrest whoever they like, likely). Two minutes later Fitz brought me home.

And I still managed to get to work on time this morning.

Now that i've gotten that out of my system-- I am smack-dab in the middle of moving my downsized belongings into my new bedroom. One it's all set up i'll post photos.

I love times of transition...
